Since this time I am big fan of this fantastic whisky distillery. Today I had the chance to visit the shop for the first time. Lovely, lovely, lovely…and very nice people running this distillery. Ergebnis, alle drei Sorten, den Gin und ein paar Andenken gekauft. Da nichts los war, zeigte man uns noch die Distillery und haben probieren können. Super nette Beratung. Wie überall in England. Ich liebe die englische Höflichkeit. Der Whisky ist sehr weich und aromatisch. Kein Torf-  oder Raucharoma. Hergestellt in einer alten französischen Distille. Einfach mega. Wenn der dumme Brexit nicht gewesen wäre, ich hätte richtig eingekauft. Ein sehr feiner Whisky. Wir hoffen irgendwann wieder ins Dartmoor zu kommen und dann werde ich diese Distillery wieder besuchen. Einfach top.

However, despite this being a small and new distillery, the experience was both enjoyable and informative They were very welcoming and made a fuss of the dog, with treats too! The video presentation, tasting and Q&A session were all done well and with passion and humour. Did some shopping, so there's a recommendation for you.

Distilled in our beautiful ex-Cognac copper still, aged for over six years in a single Portuguese Port cask and cut with pure Dartmoor spring water. This is the first ever distillation of our Port cask aged whisky and the bottle is signed by our Master Distiller, Frank McHardy and the founder.

This expression will be bottled mid-February and will be immediately shipped.

Please note: This is an extremely rare expression. This expression is one of our most sought-after collectors items and comes with a signed label by Frank McHardy and the founder of Dartmoor Whisky Distillery. This will also include a certificate of authenticity and ownership.

Barrel Information

This exquisite whisky has been aged beautifully in a Portuguese Port barrel. These casks are some of the most exclusive and expensive that we purchase here at Dartmoor Whisky Distillery. This is due to the beautifully sweet and rich flavours they impart on the whisky. Unlike other distilleries, who just finish their whiskies in Port barrels, this single cask single malt has been solely matured in a Port cask from start to finish.


